Expanding Collaboration on High-Performance PA12
Grässlin and Evonik Sign an Official Distribution Agreement
Two strong partners, one goal: Joint developments and solutions for the demanding companies in the plastics industry. To achieve this goal, Grässlin Kunststoffe—a high-performance distributor of plastic pellets—and Evonik—a leading manufacturer of PA12—are expanding their long-standing partnership in the field of engineering plastics. For Grässlin, the distribution agreement represents another important step toward the systematic expansion of its diverse product portfolio, including Evonik’s two high-performance polyamides: VESTAMID® and TROGAMID®.

Thermoplastics for countless applications across many sectors and industries—from automotive to electronics
Evonik is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of PA12. Grässlin Kunststoffe brings its strong relationships with innovative key customers across all segments and industries to the partnership. The two companies have been collaborating successfully for years. This strategic partnership will result in shorter delivery times and improved availability of small quantities, even for small and medium-sized enterprises. In line with this, Evonik has commissioned an additional production complex to expand its PA12 production capacity, thereby increasing capacity by more than 50 percent. For more than 60 years, the Marl Chemical Park in North Rhine-Westphalia has been producing thermoplastics tailored to customer needs for countless applications in the automotive, electronics, and other industrial sectors.
