Greco – Internationally Renowned Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU)

Great Eastern Resins Industrial Co. Ltd. (GRECO) was founded in 1955 as a manufacturing company specializing in the production of adhesives for the footwear industry. Today, the Taiwanese company is established as a technologically leading manufacturer of thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU). GRECO continuously strives to maintain high standards in quality, technology, and customer service, and—with decades of experience and innovative expertise in the development and production of TPU—sets global benchmarks in material performance and process reliability.

GRECO TPU granules are high-quality, environmentally friendly materials available in a wide range of hardnesses based on polyester and polyether. They offer superior performance combined with an improved environmental footprint compared to conventional materials. These thermoplastic polyurethanes can be processed using injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding. The ISOTHANE series of TPU granules complies with the requirements of the European REACH regulation.

In addition to TPU granules, another specialty of GRECO is LFRT (long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic), which offers excellent stiffness, strength, and impact resistance. As an alternative to metal parts in industrial tools, it enables efficient weight reduction. The surface of products made from GRECO’s ReinForce GF Isopak® LFRT is attractive, glossy, and smooth. The length of the long glass fibers (LGF) ranges from 10 to a maximum of 25 mm in the polymer matrix, and the material’s abrasion resistance and dimensional stability are superior to those of other compound materials. LFRT can be used in housings for electrical appliances, automotive parts, mechanical components, sports equipment, and in the IT industry. It also has the ability to shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI).

With GRECO, Grässlin is expanding its portfolio to include innovative TPU solutions that are characterized by high performance, excellent processing properties, and reliable product quality. GRECO’s thermoplastic polyurethanes are in high demand across a wide range of applications, including the automotive industry, electronics, sports and leisure products, mechanical engineering, and medical technology.
