Blends

Blends are mixtures of two or more compatible polymers. The positive properties of the individual materials are combined to achieve the best results for each application. This process is almost as old as plastics technology itself and continues to be refined to this day. Advantages such as improved processability, increased heat resistance, and reduced stress cracking are the goals of these polymer blends. The blend portfolio includes PC/ABS (polycarbonate/acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), PC/PBT (polycarbonate/polybutylene terephthalate), PPE/PS (polyphenylene ether/polystyrene), PPE/PA (polyphenylene ether/polyamide), PPE/PP (polyphenylene ether/polypropylene), PC/polyester (polycarbonate/polyester blend), and PEI/silicone (polyetherimide/silicone).
